Taavi Vartia

Taavi Vartia (9 November 1965 Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish Film director, script writer and novelist. he is also working as the host in television and live shows.

Taavi Vartia founded TaaborI Summer Theater in Nurmijärvi 2009 and started to run the MOVIE THEATRE kino Juha 2019. Vartia is currently known to be the only Finnish film director to have his own cinema.

Vartia's latest works are tv-series “Kevyttä yläpilveä”/ "World's safest place" (drama comedy), Keisari Aarnio (episode director, the crime-series), "Syke" (drama-series), "Downshiftaajat" (drama comedy), "rolli and the secret of all time" (FEATURE FILM), "THE ISLAND OF SECRETS" (FEATURE FILM), "rolli and the folden key" (FEATURE FILM).

Vartia has since 1990 planned, directed and produced programmes for all Finland's national television channels across a range of genres including drama, entertainment, music, profiles and documentaries. He has directed several feature films for the cinemas, too, and he also has experience of directing image videos for the companies. in the field of theatre he has received recognition as a writer and director of whole family theatre plays.

Vartia on ohjannut ja kirjoittanut suomalaiselle televisiolle satoja tunteja viihdettä, musiikkiohjelmia, draamasarjoja, tv-elokuvia, dokumentteja ja asiaohjelmia. Hän on työskennelyt myös tuottajana ja juontajana ja häneltä on julkaistu useita romaaneja. Lisäksi Vartia työskentelee paljon myös live-viihteen ja teatterin parissa.
